What's new in Measure Studio: September 2026

Threads, YouTube public accounts, new Instagram engagement metrics, custom Content Lens detections, group duplication options, X full-archive backfill, and a long list of fixes.

Here’s everything that shipped in September: new features, quality-of-life improvements, and fixes across the platform.

Features

  • Added Threads as a new platform. Connect your Threads accounts and report on them next to everything else.
  • Added YouTube public accounts, so you can track channels you don’t own, such as competitors.
  • Added new Instagram engagement metrics: reposts, saves, and shares, plus combined likes, comments, and views across Instagram and Facebook. Instagram posts now also show their crossposted status.
  • Added X full-archive backfill. Newly connected X accounts now pull posts beyond the 3,200-post timeline limit, along with their public metrics.
  • All video view counting now follows the Shorts counting method starting August 24, 2026, so views are comparable across formats.
  • Custom detections in Summaries. Define your own named detection fields with your own values, so Content Lens can classify posts by the criteria that matter to you.
  • You can now exclude Content Lens detections when searching posts.
  • OCR text filters now support negative keywords.
  • When you duplicate a post group, you can now choose what to copy: dashboard and targets, posts, autogrouping settings, or folder.
  • You can now set up auto-tagging for a future date range, for example to tag everything published next month with a campaign name.
  • Post group dashboards can now be built for an empty group, and you can pick a default template for new dashboards.
  • Dashboard tables now let you choose the default sort metric and ascending or descending order.
  • Post detail metric charts now have a daily view toggle next to the cumulative view.
  • Page-by-page charts now let you select more than 5 options.
  • Archer now follows report generation rules for writing and layout, so reports need less cleanup.
  • Added more access controls and permissions for MCP.
  • Facebook Stories now work in URL search.

Improvements

  • Instagram boosted posts now include paid metrics and ad metadata.
  • Boosted Instagram posts now show their ad account, even when that ad account isn’t connected, and appear in ad account filters.
  • The Transcripts tab now populates for posts analyzed by Summaries.
  • Replaced our transcription provider for better reliability.
  • Removed the legacy computer vision (CV) options from post detail, filters, and exports now that Content Lens covers them.
  • Tightened permission checks across dashboards, exports, reports, saved searches, tags, and user management.
