Custom Content Lens detections, and everything we shipped in Q3 2026

Define your own Content Lens detections and classify every post by the criteria you care about. Plus LinkedIn profiles, YouTube public accounts, Archer templates, MCP setup guides, instant post group aggregation, and a big round of security and data accuracy work.

Q3 was headlined by custom Content Lens detections: you now decide what Content Lens looks for in your posts. We also added LinkedIn profiles and YouTube public accounts, shipped Archer templates and a proper setup flow for MCP, made post group aggregation instant, and spent a lot of time on permissions and data accuracy. The full month-by-month lists are in the July, August, and September posts.

Content Lens: detect what matters to you

Content Lens already labels every post across 40+ built-in criteria. With custom detections, you add your own.

  • Custom detections. Define your own named detection fields with your own values, so Content Lens classifies posts by the criteria that matter to you, such as campaign themes, product lines, or creative formats.
  • You can hide a detection on the post detail page, exclude detections when searching posts, and use negative keywords in OCR text filters.
  • Post group autogrouping now supports Content Lens filters.
  • The “Text in media” filter matches the full phrase you type, and the Content Lens filter expands to full width when open.
  • The legacy computer vision options are gone from post detail, filters, and exports, since Content Lens covers them.

More platforms, more accounts

You can now track YouTube channels you don’t own, such as competitors, and public LinkedIn company pages. LinkedIn profiles are supported as well.

Adding public accounts no longer means connecting them one at a time, because you can add many at once, and your company subscription now carries its own public account limit.

X accounts now pull posts beyond the 3,200-post timeline limit when you connect them, along with their public metrics.

Archer and MCP

  • Archer templates give Archer a larger workspace with persistent chat history and a prompt library of pre-made and user-made templates. Share them with your team and use @ variables to point a template at different accounts.
  • You can set how much effort Archer puts into each chat, and export a chat as a PDF.
  • Archer and MCP can read Post Group benchmarks per metric and per post type, and return the post URL for any post so decks and chats link straight to the live post.
  • Archer now follows report generation rules for writing and layout, so reports need less cleanup, and it tells you when a historical data period is incomplete instead of presenting partial numbers as complete.
  • MCP settings now have a connection tab with setup guides for Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Cursor, Grok, and Copilot. The sign in and sign up page was redesigned for people who arrive from an MCP connector, and MCP got more access controls and permissions.
  • MCP returns a clear message when a trial or subscription has expired, and throttled responses carry a Retry-After header.

Instant post group aggregation

X, Snapchat, Snapchat profiles, and Instagram moved to our newer analytics data pipeline, and cumulative metrics are now calculated inside it. The result is instant post group aggregation: group totals and dashboards load without the wait.

More new features

  • Post group folders. Post Groups and Reports lists support sub-folders, and you can favorite groups and move them between folders. Duplicating a group lets you choose what to copy: dashboard and targets, posts, autogrouping settings, or folder.
  • Aspect ratio. Filter and autogroup posts by vertical, horizontal, or square media, and find aspect ratio in post exports.
  • Report generator. Undo and redo, Post Group benchmarks in slides, and a larger editing window on big screens.
  • Dashboards. Build a dashboard for an empty group, pick a default template, choose the default sort metric and direction for tables, and select more than 5 options in page-by-page charts.
  • Post detail charts. A daily view toggle now sits next to the cumulative view.
  • Future auto-tagging. Set up auto-tagging for a future date range, for example to tag everything published next month with a campaign name.
  • New metrics. YouTube Impressions, Thumbnail CTR, Thumbnail Clicks, and organic engaged views. Instagram reposts, saves, and shares, plus combined likes, comments, and views across Instagram and Facebook. Facebook live earnings from content monetization.
  • Instagram collaborative media. Posts where your account is an accepted collaborator are collected in backfills and daily syncs, and boosted Instagram posts now carry paid metrics and ad metadata, including the ad account when it isn’t connected.
  • Data dumps now include AI summaries.

Quality-of-life improvements

  • All video view counting follows the Shorts counting method starting August 24, 2026, so views are comparable across formats.
  • Media handling got another round of work, including less needless re-caching.
  • We replaced our transcription provider for better reliability, and the Transcripts tab now fills in for posts analyzed by Content Lens.
  • Relabeled X metrics to match what X shows in its own dashboard, and aligned YouTube organic views across the app and the API.
  • New users who haven’t accepted their invite get a second reminder after 7 days.
  • Metric Visibility settings now use Hide and Unhide buttons with a status column.
  • Tag imports can be canceled from the Confirm step, and modals focus their first input when they open.
  • The Enterprise API now returns empty values in responses, and single-widget exports let you add extra columns.

Security and permissions

We tightened permission checks across dashboards, exports, reports, saved searches, tags, and user management, and closed gaps in how invitation links and team permissions are handled.

Sharper, more reliable data

  • More accurate metrics. Corrected YouTube organic and paid views against YouTube Analytics, fixed Instagram and Facebook post-level Views and Shares that dropped to 0 on August 6, resolved Instagram view discrepancies, and fixed TikTok views dips and the full video watched rate.
  • More reliable syncing. Fixed Instagram Reels showing 0 views on newly added accounts, partial initial Instagram syncs, YouTube accounts ignoring backfill limits, and sync errors that interrupted media processing and Facebook Stories.
  • Dark and boosted posts. Fixed Meta and TikTok dark posts not populating or pointing at the wrong account, and duplicate Meta posts appearing after boosting.
  • Dependable dashboards, reports, and exports. Fixed dashboard export totals not matching the dashboard, widgets changing order after an edit, report duplication failing, reports created as Private saving as Shared, and post exports failing for some users.
  • Smoother search and filters. Symbols such as | now work as must-include terms in Post Text filters, Facebook Stories work in URL search, Facebook video IDs work in the Post ID filter, and Snapchat profile URL search works again.

That’s the quarter. If you haven’t tried custom detections yet, start in Content Lens, then ask Archer what your detections show across your accounts.
