CPC
What is CPC?
Cost Per Click (CPC) is a metric that essentially measures how much you’re spending for each user click on your promoted content.
Where should I find CPC?
The formula for calculating your CPC is simply the total cost of your ad campaign divided by the total number of clicks received. (If you spent $100 and received 200 clicks, you would divide 100 by 200, finding $0.50 as your CPC. In other words, you spent 50 cents per click received).
Why is CPC Important?
Like CPM, it directly measures the efficiency of your ad spend in terms of generating clicks, and therefore user engagement. A lower CPM would indicate a more cost effective campaign strategy.
How to improve your CPC metric?
By monitoring your engagement metrics in your paid campaign ads, you can identify what resonates most with your audience and find opportunities of improvement to optimize your campaign strategy. Reaching out to users who have already interacted with your brand may also help to improve your CPC.
How frequently should I track this?
Track your CPC daily, or at least once a week to allow yourself to quickly identify any significant fluctuations to your campaign strategy.
