Engagement Rate
What is Engagement Rate?
Measures by percentage how many viewers interact with the content. These interactions include commenting, liking, sharing, subscribing, and unsubscribing.
Where should I find the Engagement Rate?
Engagement Rate = Total Number of Engagements / Total Number of Views
From YouTube Studio’s browser site, access Advanced Mode and select Analytics to adjust the metric search.
Why is Engagement Rate Important?
A higher engagement rate triggers the algorithm to see content as higher quality, and will therefore be granted more impressions by the platform. It also attracts more advertising opportunities to monetize your campaign.
How to improve your Engagement Rate metric?
Interact with your audience often and consistently, replying to messages and comments in a timely manner to encourage more engagement from your followers. Post when your audience is most active.
How frequently should I track this?
Track your engagement rate for the lifespan of each campaign, but also monitor weekly and report monthly to track your overall performance.
